Our consulting experience in the areas of Radiological Emergency Planning & Preparedness Includes the following areas:
· Technical training for emergency preparedness participants, and those filling positions in emergency organizations, including: off-site dose calculation; decontamination; surveys; sampling; in-plant response teams; dose assessment; field teams (on-site and off-site), procedures and control; protective action analysis and recommendations; and corrective action recommendations. Training includes both theory (classroom) and practical (field) elements.
· Performed a needs-based assessment of Emergency Preparedness Program elements to prepare for a DOE Operational Readiness Review. This was the first site assessment performed under the new requirements of DOE Orders 151.1, 420.1 and 440.1. The assessment included a programmatic and performance-based review of current site programs relative to DOE compliance criteria, resulting in a comprehensive report to WIPP management, identifying deficiencies. |
